BACKGROUND
Grani & Partners China Ltd. is founded in late 2005 in Shenzhen, China, to ensure Grani and Partners meets and surpasses the highest standards set by the Law and by the Company itself for product quality and safety as well as working conditions and procedures.
Coordinating its activities with Grani & Partners HK Ltd., Grani & Partners China Ltd. performs frequent and regular audits of production processes and carries out detailed quality control inspections, both during the production process and before the shipment of the finished articles. These rigorous controls take place on product and the packaging to ensure all terms and conditions have been met.
Composed mainly of highly skilled engineers and inspectors, the team in Shenzhen covers a great number of factories spread across China, ranging from Beijing to Shanghai and Canton.
Specific targeted audits are additionally being put in place to guarantee minimum standards for employee working conditions at designated suppliers, ensuring:
- No child labour
- A salubrious working environment
- Implementation of all necessary measures to avoid accidents
- Working hours do not exceed legally stipulated limits
- Respect of the freedom of association of workers
- Remuneration conforms with legal standards
- An absence of discrimination, punishment or hard labour
